I’m Gail Kalbfleisch, and I founded Succeed Smarter with a clear mission: to help people like you rise higher—with clarity, courage, and smarter strategies that actually work. After years working in private industry and over three decades in government service—starting as a young Air Force airman and retiring as a senior leader (GS-15)—I’ve walked through transitions, led high-impact teams, and learned firsthand how to navigate change, challenge, and reinvention. Along the way, I also experienced many personal transitions such as moving and starting over without a local family/friend network; becoming a mom, mother-in-law, grandma, and a caregiver; and a woman of faith.
Succeed Smarter was born from the belief that every season of life is an opportunity to grow, lead, and live more intentionally. I believe in fearless action, grace-filled growth, and the power of choosing what’s next with intention.

I am Heather C. Markham-Creasman. Disability is personal to me. I've been living with a progressive muscular dystrophy my whole life, and been aware of its affects on me since 1990. It's been slowly stealing my ability to walk and reach. People in my family have other disabilities:Parkinson's Disease, deafness, PTSD, macular degeneration, mental health issues ...Although 1 in 8 people in the US have a mobility disability which causes serious difficulty walking or climbing stairs, disability is much broader than just this. Their diagnosis is not the problem.
My disability and my 16+ years as a power wheelchair user are a good start for supporting my creditability. I also hold two Master's degrees, and four professional certifications; and, I would do anything to help my family function better in the world around them. My superpower is seeing things that other people don’t.

Megan is an entrepreneur with 30 years experience as a coach, speaker, and mentor. She is passionate, she is experienced, and she believes in empowering everyone to unlock their full potential. After 21 years serving in national security as a leader and senior executive, Megan is excited to bring her passion for service to you. In addition to decades of entrepreneurial and national security experience, Megan is a voracious learner. She has a Juris Doctor, a Master of Arts degree in International Relations, a Master of Arts degree in Leadership and Criminology, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics. Megan is also a Certified 10X Business Coach and a member of the Virginia State Bar, and she served as an adjunct professor in Georgetown University’s Master’s of Applied Intelligence Program.Megan's journey as a coach began with a deep commitment to helping people transform their lives and careers. With her extensive knowledge and background in coaching, personal and business development, and leadership, Megan is dedicated to being your partner on your path to success.
